So I boxed up all my crafts and bought a computer. I took classes at a local community college to learn desktop publishing,
... and "BCountry Printing" was born in April of 1989.
After many years of providing service under the BCountry name, I decided I needed to branch out and reach a wider audience - I thought the Country part of my name was limiting my customer base. So, I held a contest and the winning name of "Printing by Design" was chosen by my customer's in 2005.
In 2006, I had the opportunity to purchase a crafter's boutique and gift shop in a nearby town, called "The Black Sheep Gallery".
After running the Black Sheep for about 6 months, I came to the conclusion that I was not Super Woman (that was a hard one to take!) and that I couldn't run both businesses efficiently. So I made one of the hardest decisions of my life ... I closed Printing by Design's website and focused solely on the Black Sheep and my family.
Today, the Black Sheep is going strong and after alot of personal time, learning, and investment, I've got the store running smoothly.
Which brings me back to printing.
Contrary to what you may have heard, or the fact that my website has been down so long, I have never stopped printing. I've maintained a steady, loyal customer base sans the world wide web.
Now, I'm simply putting the website back up and accepting new customers as well as welcoming my old ones back.
Many of you have written to me explaining that you've went elsewhere for your printing in my absence, and have told me stories of the un-professionalism as well as the low quality of products and service that you've encountered... and I want you to know that I sincerely appreciate all the wonderful comments about my services, and your faith in me.
